Walker Gamebirds & Hunting Preserve is a family owned and operated licensed controlled shooting area that opened in October of 2008. We have 450 acres that we manage specifically for outstanding upland gamebird hunting that offers quality terrain and cover. We raise ringneck pheasant, melanistic (black) pheasant, chukar partridge, and bobwhite quail. We buy our hatching eggs and chicks from producers with the best genetics in the industry. The eggs are hatched and the chicks are moved to our brooder barn where they spend 6-7 weeks growing. They are then moved to outside flight pens where they become mature, weather, and flight conditioned. The end result is always a consistent, top quality, fully feathered, fast flying gamebird that provides for an exciting hunt. We may not be the biggest hunting preserve in Northeast Kansas, but we are one of the best.
